until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ. — Eph 4:13 BSB

God is preparing His heroes, and when the opportunity comes, He can fit them into their roles in an instant, leaving the world to wonder where they came from. Let the Holy Spirit prepare you through all the discipline of life, and when the final touches are made, God will place you where you belong.

There will come a day, like Othniel, when we, too, will judge the nations and rule with Christ in His millennial kingdom. But before that day, we must allow God to prepare us, just as He did with Othniel during the trials of life and small victories. We may not realize the significance of these trials, but we can be sure that if the Holy Spirit is preparing an Othniel, the Lord has a throne ready for him.

Is it for me to be used by His grace,
Helping His kingdom to bring,
Is it for me to inherit a place,
Even on the throne of my King?
