No Condemnation

In those days and at that time, declares the LORD, a search will be made for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found; for I will forgive the remnant I preserve. — Jer 50:20 BSB

What a glorious word indeed! Here we see the promise of perfect pardon given to the sinful nations of Israel and Judah. Sin will be so thoroughly removed that it will no longer be found, so completely blotted out that there will be no trace of it. Glory to the God of pardons!

Satan, our enemies, and even our own consciences may seek to find our sins, to accuse and condemn us. But when the Lord applies the precious blood of Jesus, no sin remains to be found. The Lord has caused our sins to disappear entirely. The sacrifice of Jesus has cast our sins into the depths of the sea, and this truth fills our hearts with joy.

The reason for this complete pardon is that Jehovah Himself grants it to His chosen ones. His word of grace is both royal and divine. He speaks absolution, and we are free. He applies the atonement, and from that moment, His people are no longer condemned. Blessed be the name of our sin-annihilating God!
