No Stranger in Heaven
You guide me with Your counsel, and later receive me in glory. — Ps 73:24 BSB
From day to day and year to year, my faith rests in the wisdom and love of God, and I know I won’t believe in vain. Not one of His good promises has ever failed, and I am confident that none ever will.
I entrust myself to Him for guidance. I don’t know the best path to choose, so I trust the Lord to choose for me. I need His counsel, for my responsibilities are complex, and my situation is often confusing. Like the high priest who sought guidance from the Urim and Thummim, I seek wisdom from the infallible God. I trust His counsel above my own judgment or the advice of others. Glorious Jehovah, You are my guide!
Soon the end will come. In a few years, I will depart from this world to be with the Father. But my Lord will be near when that time comes. He will meet me at the gates of heaven and welcome me into eternal glory. I won’t be a stranger in heaven—my own God and Father will welcome me into endless joy.
Glory to Him who guides me now and will receive me hereafter. Amen.
