Without Fear of Man

Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will stand in awe of you. — Deut 28:10 BSB

If the Lord is with us, then we have no reason to fear those who oppose us. Fear would show a lack of faith, not a sign of belief. God can make us so much like Himself that people will be forced to recognize that we truly belong to the holy Jehovah. Oh, that we may receive this grace, which the Lord is ready to give!

Rest assured that ungodly people fear true saints, even though they may hate them. They hate us, but they also fear us. Haman trembled because of Mordecai, even while plotting his destruction. In fact, their hatred often stems from a fear they are too proud to admit. Let us walk the path of truth and righteousness without the slightest fear. Fear is not for us but for those who do wrong and oppose the Lord of hosts. If indeed the eternal God’s name is upon us, we are secure. Just as a Roman citizen could claim protection by declaring, "I am a Roman," we, as men and women of God, have the omnipotence of God as our guardian. God would sooner empty heaven of angels than leave a saint unprotected. Be as brave as lions for what is right, for God is with you.
