I waited patiently for the LORD; He inclined to me and heard my cry. — Ps 40:1 BSB

There are times in everyone’s life when no effort of our own can change the situation, and when no human power can help. In those moments, we must commit everything to God and wait for Him. And we can do this with confidence because our Father rules the world and has a plan for each life. We can trust Him to bring help, deliverance, or light at the right moment.

Sometimes, waiting is our greatest duty. When working for souls, we present the truth, then commit the results to God. Some spiritual processes take time, and results may not come immediately. In prayer, we sometimes have to wait for an answer, even for a long time—but we must never grow impatient.
