You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your presence. — Ps 90:8 BSB

This is what consecration means—letting all ambition begin and end with doing God’s will. Duty is simply obedience. The highest goal anyone can achieve in this world is to follow God’s will.

Nothing is too small if it’s what God wants us to do at the moment. And nothing is truly great, no matter how impressive it seems to others, if it’s not what God desires. Our life’s motto should be, “I delight to do Your will.” Since Jesus filled His life with loving devotion to His Father’s will, it should be our greatest joy to do the same.
