And He will send out the angels to gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. — Mark 13:27 BSB

There is no danger that any true follower of Christ will be overlooked or forgotten on the last day. The most obscure Christian, hidden away in the loneliest corner of the world, will not be missed by the angels when they come to gather God’s people. On battlefields, there are graves marked "Unknown," but if any of those unknown belong to Christ, the angels will know where to find them.

A ship once sank off the British coast, and all aboard perished. None of the bodies were found except that of a baby, washed ashore. The kind people of the village buried the child and, having no way to know its name, wrote on the stone, "God knows." When the angels come, they will know who that child was.

The only thing we need to be concerned about is whether we belong to Christ. It won’t matter on that day whether we were rich or poor, famous or unknown—what will matter is whether we accepted Christ and were faithful to Him in this life.
