The death of a saint is not the end, but the beginning of eternal joy in the presence of Christ.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
The death of God’s people is precious in His sight. We have more reason to rejoice than to weep. Yes, we firmly believe that their redeemed spirits have already flown to the eternal throne. We believe that at this very moment, they are joining in the praises of Heaven, enjoying the fruits of the tree
of life, and walking by the "river that makes the city of God glad." We know they are supremely blessed; we think of them as glorified spirits in Heaven, who are now with the Lord Jesus.

Plutarch tells a story about two men in Athens who were both up for a public office. One was famous for his speeches and promised all the things he would do if the citizens elected him. He could have charmed them with his fine words, but they knew him
too well. His opponent was a man of few words, who simply said, "Everything that this gentleman has promised, I will do." A holy life is better than pious talk.
