I am often so weak that I can’t read my Bible or even pray. I can only lie still in God’s arms like a little child and trust.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Look at that ship. After a long voyage, it has finally reached the harbor, but it’s badly damaged; the sails are torn to shreds. That’s like the righteous being "barely saved." But do you see that other ship? It has had a successful voyage, and now, fully loaded, with its sails all up and the white canvas
filled with the wind, it sails into the harbor joyfully and triumphantly. That’s an "abundant entrance," and if you and I are helped by God’s Spirit to add virtue to our faith and so on, we will have, at the end, an "abundant entrance into the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ."

can easily scorn them, having already glimpsed Heaven through your faith and seeing infinitely better delights every hour of the day.
