Today’s Quote

Let us never think that we have learned a doctrine, until we have seen its fruit in our lives.

— Charles Spurgeon

Spurgeon’s Daily Help

"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." —Philippians 4:6-7.

Don’t carry

any cares; instead, bring everything to God in prayer. Don’t let anxiety take hold, but instead, have joyful conversations with God. Bring your desires to the One who holds your life and watches over your soul. Approach Him with two parts prayer and one part thanksgiving. Don’t pray with doubt, but with gratitude. Believe that you already have what you’ve asked for, and thank God for His grace.

The Spurgeon Birthday Book

June 29

Pray about everything, whether it’s small or big, joyful or sad. "In everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." When you pray about a problem, it will lose its sting; when you thank God for the

good, it will become even sweeter. Prayer makes suffering bearable, even if it doesn’t turn it into joy. A problem brought to God in prayer is like a dead lion with honey inside it.

Spurgeon’s Quote

It is a sure sign of growth in spiritual life, that God's Word is more sweet to me than it used to be.
