God is love in its highest form. He is love beyond what we can imagine. Love is not God, but God is love—He is full of grace and overflows with mercy, delighting in showing it.

I believe that every flower in a garden cared for by a skilled gardener could tell of the special attention it receives. The

gardener does something different for the dahlia than for the sunflower; the rose needs care that the lily doesn’t; and the geranium requires attention that isn’t needed by the honeysuckle. Each flower receives the special care it needs from the gardener.

God loves us even more than we love ourselves.

Don’t weep because the vessel of your current comfort has sailed away, disappearing over the horizon. It will return to you, filled with even greater treasures. Don’t mourn the setting sun, for it sinks to bring forth the dews that water the earth and

make the flowers bloom with fragrance. Wait patiently, and the sun will rise again, and the morning light will be all the brighter because of the night’s mist.
