Our greatest need is often God's greatest opportunity to show His strength in us.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
The river of God is full of water, but none of it comes from earthly sources. God will use no strength in His battles except the strength He Himself provides. Don’t be discouraged if you are distressed; your emptiness is just preparation for being filled, and your being cast down is just making you ready
to be lifted up.
Help will come when things are at their worst.
Let us learn from our Master to rely on invisible forces.

Often, people of the world will give money to support the cause of Christ, donating large sums to charity or missions, but they won’t weep in secret over other people’s sins or offer a word of comfort to a suffering believer. Visiting a sick woman, teaching
a child, helping a street orphan, praying for an enemy, or sharing a promise with a discouraged saint may show more of our relationship with God than building a row of almshouses or endowing a church.
