The more vile we are in our own eyes, the more precious Christ will be to us!

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
We value every day equally, but since this season brings thoughts of Jesus, let’s joyfully remember our dear Redeemer’s glorious birth. Who else has been eagerly awaited by so many hearts? When did angels sing midnight songs, or God place a new star in the sky? To whose cradle did both rich and poor
come so willingly, offering their gifts with such sincere devotion? The whole earth should rejoice, and everyone should pause their work to celebrate the "great birthday" of Jesus. Let gladness fill the time; let holy songs and joyful music accompany our souls in the celebration.

The Spurgeon Birthday Book
December 25
The joy of Christmas is gathering the whole family around the fire. Who wants to spend the day alone? In the same way, the richest joys for believers are those shared with their fellow Christians, the joys of fellowship with the saints. What a celebration
it will be when the entire family of God, both in Heaven and on earth, gathers in the Father’s house above! What joy we will have in each other! What joy we will find in our dear Elder Brother! What joy we will have in God!
