Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Our Lord wants all His people to have rich and joyful thoughts about His wonderful nature. To help you think highly of Christ, remember how He is esteemed beyond the skies. Think about how God values His only begotten Son, the indescribable gift given to us. Consider how the angels honor Him, counting
it their highest privilege to cover their faces at His feet. Reflect on the immense love that led Him from His throne to die on the cross! See Him risen, crowned, and glorified! Bow before Him as the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, for only then will your love for Him be what it should be.

Life is so short that no one can afford to waste even an hour of it. It’s been said that if a king gave us a huge pile of gold and told us to take as much as we could count in a day, we would make that day as long as possible. We’d start early in the
morning and wouldn’t stop counting until late at night. Now, winning souls, growing in grace, or communing with God is a far greater task. So why do we so quickly stop doing it?
