Spurgeon’s Daily Help
O Christian, do you doubt whether God will keep His promise? Will the mighty fortress of God’s protection ever be overcome? Will the storehouses of Heaven ever run out? Do you think that even though your heavenly Father knows you need food and clothing, He will forget you? When not even a sparrow falls
to the ground without your Father knowing, and every hair on your head is numbered, how can you doubt Him? Many have been tested until they were finally driven to trust in God, and the moment they placed their faith in Him, they experienced deliverance.

Prayer is one of the royal musicians; and while many prefer its brother, praise, prayer has always had an equal share of the King’s favor. Its melody is so sweet that once, at its sound, the heavens smiled with sunshine for three years and six months;
and when the tune changed, the same skies wept with joy until rain poured abundantly on the earth.
