Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness. — Isa 41:10 BSB
Satan constantly tries to weaken our faith by fear. He knows fear paralyzes faith, and that faith is the secret to receiving help. If Satan can make us fearful, he will stop us from trusting and prevent us from receiving the very blessing we need. Job learned the danger of fear and confessed, “What I feared has come upon me.”
Fear is born of Satan, and if we took a moment to think, we would realize that everything Satan says is built on lies. He is the father of lies. Even his fears are falsehoods, and his terrors should be an encouragement to us.
When Satan tells you that some disaster is coming, look him in the face and tell him he is a liar. Instead of disaster, “goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.” Turn to your Lord and say, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” Every fear is an expression of distrust, and trust is the remedy for fear. “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.”
