Spurgeon’s Daily Help
Nothing gives the believer as much joy as fellowship with Christ. We can find enjoyment in the common blessings of life, in God’s gifts and works; but in all these things separately, and even when combined, we don’t find as much delight as in the incomparable person of our Lord Jesus.
Where can such
sweetness be found as we have tasted in communion with our Beloved?
If you know anything of the inner life, you will admit that our highest, purest, and most lasting joys must come from the tree of life, which stands in the midst of God’s paradise.

Don’t think that you will always remain a baby in grace. You will grow and become mature, even a leader among believers. Don’t think that you will always be like the slender green blade just emerging from the cold ground. One day you will be the full
ear of corn, golden and ripe, and the joyous harvest will be celebrated over you.
