Today’s Quote
Feasts and business and pleasure and enjoyments seem great things to us, while we think of nothing else; but as soon as we add death to them, they all sink into an equal littleness.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
We have sat at the Lord's table and said, "Only the infinite can satisfy me; I am such a great sinner that I need infinite merit to wash my sin away." But we have found that our sin has been removed, and there is merit to spare. We have been filled at the feast of His love, yet there is still an abundance
of spiritual food left. There are graces we have not yet attained, places of fellowship with Christ we have not yet reached, and heights of communion we have not yet climbed. Every time we feast on His love, there are leftovers. Let’s praise the generosity of our glorious Redeemer.

The Spurgeon Birthday Book

Truth was powerful long before the greatest man was born, and it will remain powerful long after he is gone. If one faithful person is removed, others will rise to take their place, and even greater victories will be won. If you cut down a noble oak,
other trees will spring up in its place. The loss of one person calls others to the task, so never despair when the faithful are taken away.

Spurgeon’s Quote
You will be as surely damned by your righteousness, if you trust in it, as you will by your sins.
