Spurgeon’s Daily Help
God is glorified when we serve Him in our daily work. Every lawful job can be made holy by the gospel and used for noble purposes. Look in the Bible, and you’ll see even the most humble work connected to acts of great faith or people known for their holiness. So don’t be unhappy with your job. Whatever
role or work God has placed you in, stay there unless you’re sure He’s calling you to something else. Your first priority should be to glorify God as much as you can in your current situation. Fill your present role to His glory, and if He needs you elsewhere, He’ll show you.

The Spurgeon Birthday Book
October 13
A mature believer is ahead of younger Christians, especially if their maturity has developed into a deeper, steadier, and more abiding love for Christ. The mature believer is like an oak compared to a sapling—more deeply rooted, stronger at heart, and
broader in reach. Their love is like a deep river compared to the shallow stream of a new convert’s affection, especially if they’ve been through battles and endured the hardships of the Christian journey.
