Today’s Quote

The sweetest life is the one which nestles the most quietly and unquestioningly in the bosom of Jesus.

— J.R. Miller

Spurgeon’s Daily Help

The Father loves the Son endlessly, and in the same way, the Son loves His people. You can be sure that Christ will be with you even to the grave and will guide you up from it to the heavenly hills. Moreover, the Father loves the Son without limits, and that same limitless love is what the Son gives

to His chosen ones. Christ's whole heart is dedicated to His people. He "loved us and gave Himself for us." His love is beyond comprehension. We indeed have a precious Savior, one who loves us without limits, without change, without beginning, and without end, just as the Father loves Him!

The Spurgeon Birthday Book

August 20

Even weeds turn toward the sunlight and twist themselves to face its brightness. This rebukes me because I don't seek the Lord with the same urgency. Without His light, I cannot live, so how could I be content to die? No, my gracious Savior, help me to

bask in Your love, to feel that heavenly sunshine that brightens the whole earth. I will look up to receive Your light, and when I do, I will send up the fragrance of my gratitude.
