One a Majority!
One of you can put a thousand to flight, because the LORD your God fights for you, just as He promised. — Josh 23:10 BSB
Why worry about numbers? One person with God is a majority, even if there are a thousand on the other side. Sometimes, there are too many people on our side for God to work effectively with them, like with Gideon, who couldn’t succeed until he reduced his army. But God’s armies are never too small. When God wanted to start a nation, He called Abraham alone and blessed him. When He wanted to defeat proud Pharaoh, He didn’t use an army—just Moses and Aaron. The so-called "one-man ministry" has been used by God more often than any group effort with its ranks of officers. Did all the Israelites together kill as many enemies as Samson did alone? Saul and his army killed their thousands, but David killed his tens of thousands.
God can give the enemy an advantage and still defeat them. If we have faith, we have God on our side, so what do numbers matter? One shepherd’s dog can drive an entire flock of sheep. If the Lord has sent you, His strength will accomplish His purpose. So, rely on His promise and be courageous.
