Faith is the soul's eye, and God is the soul's life; and faith must see God to live.

Spurgeon’s Daily Help
It is well with the righteous—this is God’s promise; it’s a comforting assurance from the mouth of God. Thank God for a faith that allows us to believe him even when the circumstances seem to say otherwise. The Bible says it is always well with you, you who are righteous; so, if you can’t see it, let
God’s word take the place of sight. Yes, believe it on God’s authority, even more confidently than if your own eyes and feelings told you so. Whoever God blesses is truly blessed, and what he declares is the absolute truth.

A joyful believer once said that the Christian life can be described as "good, better, best,"—"the shining light that gets brighter and brighter until full daylight." But when we look inside our own hearts, we often see things differently in our human
nature, which seems to go from "bad, worse, to worst." In the Lord, everything is light, but in ourselves, there’s only darkness; in the Lord Jehovah, we have righteousness and strength, but in ourselves, there’s nothing but sin and weakness.
